such a list shows one thing : people do not have any knowledge of rock'n roll theses days a few decades after the best period of rock'n roll (66/69), but on the other hand it show that this poll voted by young kids essentially is definitely a strong sign of reassurance these days... it's obvious that a few people aged 30/60 voted on such polls targetting youngsters essentially.

that is why if oasis, radiohead, stone roses or arctic monkeys are excellent bands formed by talented people (and thereby justifies their legitimacy to figure in that poll), there are also strong band/songs forgotten in that poll :

- the la's
- pink floyd
- more than 1 led zeppelin song (whole lotta love is not even the besto)
- more than a few beatles songs for christ sake !
- what about the small faces ?
- where are the charlatans ? kasabian ?
- bowie desrved more
- t-rex should have scored twice in that poll
- Harrison : no "all things must pass" ? or even "my sweet lord" or "let it die" ?
- Macca ??? "live and let die" kids
- morrissey ? ashcroft ?
- only 1 song of the clash ? jesus...
- and buzzcokcs ?
- The jeam ?? no more ?
- not fond of primal scream ?
- not any song of oasis post 96 ? come on, what about "the importance of being idle" ? the beautiful "outta time" ? or even "don't go away" ?
- and what about tragic mistakes as forgetting"dead end street" from the kinks, or "under my thumb" or "juming jack flash" from the stones ?
- i don't see van morrison ! nor "gloria" from them, nor jim noir (exceptional songwriter these days), nor more songs from the cure, nor "govinda" from kula shaker, nor amy winehouse nor the coral, the most talented band of the 00's

and so on... come on wake up, music is free on the internet, dig out your soul :)
