Oasis Chief Says He Wouldn't Play Gig For Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo may be richer than God after being flogged by Manchester United to Real Madrid for 80million quid.

But Oasis chief Noel Gallagher reckons the winker still couldn't write a cheque big enough to get him and Liam to play a private gig in the Spanish capital.

On Monday Ronaldo told Bizarre he rated the Manc legends more highly than The Beatles.

He said he would love to invite the Gallaghers to see Madrid take on rivals Barcelona in La Liga at the Bernabeu stadium as his guests.

And he added: "Perhaps they could put on a little private concert in Madrid?"

Offer

I predicted the lads, whose hits include D'you Know What I Mean, would have none of it because of their devotion to Man City.

But when I grabbed Noel at his band's sell-out iTunes Festival gig at the Roundhouse in Camden, north London, last night, I was surprised to hear otherwise.

Mr Big told me: "There's only one Ronaldo! I always knew deep down inside him somewhere there was impeccable musical taste.

"I'll be taking up his offer of tickets for the Madrid versus Barcelona game. I'm not sure whether even he could afford us for a gig though!"

Noel also wasn't bothered about the Portuguese winger saying he was unapproachable because "artistic types are like that".

Flaunting his Scally roots, he said: "I'm from the artistic capital of the North."

Mr Big may be a fan, but Ronaldo is about as welcome as a bad smell in a spacesuit in Manchester, Liverpool and most of the rest of England.

His defection from United angered their loyal fans in Kent.

Passion

All rival supporters of the Old Trafford side loath him with a passion and England fans reckon he's a wee cheat after the 2006 World Cup.

But I reckon Ronaldo would find a safe haven round at Mr Big's house.

Give it two years and the megabucks owners of City will probably break the bank to buy him anyway.

Then he'll get his dream of a private gig with the Gallaghers.

The Devendra Banhart remix of '(Get Off Your) High Horse Lady' and the Liam Gallagher-penned 'I Believe In All' and 'The Boy With The Blues' are now available to buy on iTunes.

The headline is a bit of a lie then really isn't it? Where does it say in the interview that Noel "Wont play gig for Ronaldo"??

"Not sure he can afford us" and "I wouldn't play for Ronaldo" are a bit different don't you think? Fucking hate The Sun.
