Liam Gallagher Wants Stone Roses Support Slot

Liam Gallagher is eyeing a support slot at the Stone Roses' comeback gigs next year (12), insisting he'd "sell hot dogs" at the event just for the chance to be involved.

The cult British band smashed the U.K. concert sales record last week (21Oct11) when all 240,000 tickets for their reunion shows sold out in less than an hour.

The announcement of three gigs in Manchester, England has sparked speculation over which acts the rockers will choose to support them - and former Oasis singer Gallagher has already put his new band Beady Eye forward for a slot on the bill.

He tells Nme magazine, "Without a doubt (I'd support them). I'd sell hot dogs. Without a f**king doubt, I'd f**king love to. It's their gig, they can do what the f**k they want - but with these gigs they should put on a load of bands, man.

"Because there's nothing better than someone playing really good before you come on because it gives you a f**king kick, you know what I mean. If you're on with a load of DJs, well, I'm sure they'll be up for it, but you need a couple of great bands with great singers, having it, and then by the end of the night, it's just f**king on."
